Easily accessible and fantastic bike ride through spectacular scenery with interactive signboards giving you an insight into the area and its history. The trail traverses Tongariro National Park and the adjacent farmland, with many lookouts over the volcanic plateau. Full of memorable sights along the way - abandoned railway tunnels, ruined viaducts, old bush camps and remains of the original cobblestone coach road.
