Mangapurua
(Bridge to Nowhere)
This is the best bike trail in the Ruapehu District. 38km of backcountry adventure riding, through one of the most remote and beautiful areas in the North Island. You will experience the stunning views and landscapes of the Whanganui National Park, Mangapurua Valley and the famous Bridge to Nowhere. The trail ends at the Whanganui River where you meet a Jet boat and ride 45mins down river to Pipiriki.
Catch a shuttle to TÅ«roa Skifield and experience the 17km 1000m decent on Ohakune's Mountain Road.
